Welding Apprenticeship Program

Program Duration: 12 working days – 8 hours per day

Tentative Start Date: Mid-July 2023

The intent of Lawrence Brothers’ apprenticeship program is to impart its candidates with a solid foundation and the knowledge necessary to become certified mig welders.

The first five days of the program will touch upon basic welding principles, skills, techniques, and methodology, including blueprint reading. Upon successful completion of the initial 40 hours of training, the program participants will dive into an additional 48 hours of advanced welding techniques, and experience firsthand how to manufacture Lawrence Brothers’ products.

At the end of the program, the best candidates will be given the opportunity to join our team as full-time employees. Any hired candidates who remain with the company for no less than six-month from the time of full-time employment will be tested by one of our training partner locations, and given a AWS Welding Certification. 

Furthermore, the program will provide its participants with the tools necessary to become reliable and successful employees by providing a short course in general financial planning and literacy. This short section of the program intends to aid future employees with personal money management and a solid understanding of the importance and true value of employee benefits.

All candidates will be expected to show full commitment to the program, attend 100% of the sessions, and receive a passing grade of 85% or higher in order to receive the initial certificate.
